MUSIC PEOPLE CULTURE TECHNOLOGY A LOUDER, BRIGHTER, MORE CONNECTED MUSIC WORLD.

Editorial Standards

Amplifier Music Magazine aims to publish accurate, clearly sourced and independently edited music journalism.

Accuracy and Attribution

We verify material against primary sources when reasonably available and use reputable secondary reporting when necessary. Information originating with another publication is credited. Quotes must be attributed to their original speaker and source.

Wire and Syndicated Material

Amplifier will publish full AP, Reuters or other syndicated stories only when the publication has the appropriate license. Until then, the Amplifier Wire Desk may publish original summaries and analysis based on properly credited reporting and primary sources.

Press Releases

Press releases are treated as sources, not finished journalism. Amplifier may verify, rewrite, contextualize or decline press material.

Sponsored Content

Paid stories, partner messages and advertisements are labeled. Commercial relationships do not guarantee favorable independent coverage.

Artificial Intelligence

AI tools may assist with research organization, transcription, copy editing, tagging or production workflows, but published factual claims should be reviewed against reliable sources. Amplifier will not knowingly use AI to fabricate interviews, quotations, sources, photographs presented as documentary evidence or events that did not occur.

Conflicts and Disclosures

When Amplifier, its publisher or a contributor has a material relationship to the subject of a story, that relationship should be disclosed when it could reasonably affect a reader’s interpretation of the coverage.
