BTS returned to one of the biggest U.S. radio-festival stages this weekend. The seven-member group closed the opening night of the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 18, marking its first appearance at the event in six years. Yonhap News Agency reported that BTS performed a four-song set including “Swim,” “2.0,” “Mic Drop” and “FYA.” The performance placed the group alongside a multi-genre lineup that also included Cardi B, Kenny Chesney, Goo Goo Dolls, Weezer and Zara Larsson.

A U.S. festival stop before Latin America

The Las Vegas appearance arrives during a major new chapter for BTS following the group’s return to full-group activity. The group is scheduled to begin the Latin American leg of its Arirang world tour on October 2 in Bogotá, followed by stops in Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and São Paulo. The iHeartRadio appearance also underlined how K-pop’s place in the American festival ecosystem has changed. BTS is no longer being introduced as a crossover curiosity; the group is positioned as a closing-level attraction on a bill built around mainstream pop, hip-hop, country and rock. Amplifier Take: A four-song festival slot can be brief, but BTS’s return mattered because of where it sat in the group’s larger comeback. The Las Vegas performance functioned as a high-visibility U.S. checkpoint before the next phase of a global tour.
